Crisfield Arts and Entertainment District looking for community input on mural designs

CRISFIELD, Md.- The Crisfield Arts and Entertainment District is asking for the community’s input on mural designs.

They will be painted for the Crisfield Housing Authority basketball and tennis courts.

We are told The Crisfield Arts and Entertainment District was awarded a grant to fund the mural project this spring.

Artists were able to submit their mural designs last year and now they are looking for the community’s thoughts on a design.

The project manager said they are really excited to offer this art to the community, with the help of partnerships during this uncertain time.

“I think now as anytime its really important to collaborate with each other and let each other know that at the end of the day, we really want the best for the community, and want the best for our youth, wanna give them somewhere safe where they can play somewhere that inspires them,” Shelton Hawkins, project manager, said.

The Crisfield Arts & Entertainment District Planning Committee is meeting on February 17th at 5:30 on Zoom.

That’s where folks can provide input on the submitted designs.
