Students can now major in music for the first time at Central Lakes College, with the introduction of the college’s Associate of Fine Arts degree in music.
This degree is designed for students who want to pursue music in higher education. Students have the option to go as far as completing a minor in music, or complete the program and continue as a junior at one of the four-year schools that CLC has an articulation agreement with.
“We’re thrilled to offer a great, fully accredited music major degree experience,” Jonathan Laflamme, CLC’s director of instrument music said in a news release. “This degree brings students all the opportunities of a large university, but with the smaller teacher-to-student learning ratio, zero textbook fees and offered at a fraction of the cost.”
CLC students also have access to seven music ensembles and a European tour travel study, which happens every other year.
The Associate of Fine Arts degree in music will be available this fall. For more information, visit www.clcmn.edu/liberal-artstransfer-a-a-degree-2/music-associate-of-fine-arts-degree/ or contact Jonathan Laflamme at email@example.com or 218-855-8215.
