Cynthia Golden-Haylor, 70, died December 22 due to complications from Covid-19.
Born in Syracuse, she graduated from North Syracuse High School.
She had a gift for music that began at a young age and was able to play any instrument she picked up, according to her obituary. She opened a music store, Golden Music, to share her love of music. Her other passion was mentoring teenagers, so she opened and operated the Mattydale Youth Center, the first youth center in Mattydale.
She was also an avid billiards player, she competed in the New York state women’s championship.
